Xcelsius-based Sales Dashboard - sales revenue what-if analysis via slider controls

Here is a sales dashboard presented by Solver, Inc., a company specializing in Business Performance Measurement. This screenshot is captured from an xcelsius dashboard demo at http://www.solverusa.com/im/Sales%20Dashboard.swf  Of note is the sales revenue simulation section. It’s a tree structure that leads to a total revenue number, but the real neat thing is that you can drag the bubbles around to change the inputs. A must try! A nice win for flash-based technology (xcelsius/flex) in the “battle” against AJAX?

Homework: Crystal Xcelsius is a hot new technology for creating interactive presentations from excel spreadsheets. Not at all sure what Xcelsius dashboards are? Then, you must start with this Xcelsius for Dummies book. As the book review for this title states:

  • Discusses integrating Xcelsius reports into PowerPoint slides, Web pages, and e-mail
