A corporate performance executive dashboard

One of the strongest constituents of an executive dashboard initiative is often the Chief Financial Officer. These financial wizards have dashboards in their heads that constantly monitor the state of their key performance indicators. When they have the opportunity to have a software application do it for them, they jump at the chance. In fact, they will tell you that they’ve tried doing enterprise dashboards on their own using microsoft excel.

Today, let’s take a look at a powerful executive dashboard suited to the needs of the CFO. It has plenty of metrics and KPI information. 

This executive dashboard from Bowstreet was reported by cfo.com at http://www.cfo.com/chart.cfm/4098145 Note the series of drilldowns. The dashboard features alerts, key performance indicators as graphics for EBITDA, headcount and bookings.

So what or who is The Dashboard Spy? As his about page states, The Dashboard Spy is just a guy interested in the design of business dashboards. Really, just some guy on a dashboard project. He could not find any executive dashboard design source books and so set about creating his own.
