Sentencing Guideline Dashboard - tracking judicial proceedings, criminal sentences, time served

There's no telling where the next Dashboard Spy will report from. Thanks to our extensive network, we have dashboard screenshots from "inside" that reveal how criminals are sentenced. To protect the guilty, we marked out social security numbers from these dashboard screenshots. As you will see, this application is web-based, but from a few years ago. These screenshots date from 2001 and I see that the State of Pennsylvania penal folks were using netscape then. This is a long series of screenshots, but hopefully interesting. Kind of like watching Law and Order.

The first screenshot is the digital dashboard that shows summary information of the offenders:

The second screenshot is where you add an offender into the system:

The third screenshot is how you weigh an offender's previous record. See how important it is to be good?:

The 4th screenshot shows a lookup into the list of offenses:

The fifth screenshot shows things from the judicial proceeding context:

The sixth screenshot shows the sentencing guidelines:

Funny thing about our judicial system - not only do the wheels of justice turn slowly, but the move away from paper occurs very slowly also. This last screenshot shows the resulting piece of paper that gets generated.

So what or who is The Dashboard Spy? As his about page states, The Dashboard Spy is just a guy interested in the design of enterprise dashboards. He could not find any executive dashboard design source books (or even screenshots of real business dashboards) and so set about creating his own. Finally convinced to post his extensive collection of dashboard screenshots online, he was amazed to find how popular it has become. If you have a nice screenshot of a digital dashboard, balanced scorecard, or any business intelligence graphic to share, please send an email to info _at_ dashboardspy.com.
