I am looking forward to the release of Gemini in the next version of Excel and also the 64 bit version. I believe this puts more power in the hands of the end users to create larger and more dynamic software applications at a cheaper price compared to a lot of server based software.

Why Microsoft releases new versions of existing products / new products so quickly? I feel SQL 2K8 products are not yet so matured...neither its so popular as well!!!!

Miscosoft should give some time to developer ecosystem to learn previous version / products before it releases new versions/ products...

"Companies will install 64bit windows on PCs by default just to support this Office feature"

I'm not so sure they will actually.

I'm having enough trouble convincing people that still using SQL Server 2000 is a bad idea...

But personally I welcome anything which brings BI into Excel, which is an interface people understand.
