Project Management Dashboard shows Level of Effort (LOE) Metric
Thank you to the Dashboard Spy reader who sent me this screenshot of a Project Management Dashboard used at Sprint to track their network systems project pipeline. This dashboard is circulated at the company via Microsoft Powerpoint.
There are the typical project stages of Define, Discover, Design, Develop and Deploy, but what I thought clever was the use of concentric circles to show the ranges of the LOE (Level of Effort – metrics that represent tasks and activities that fall within the realm of basic functions within one’s normal routine).
The concentric circles showing the LOE levels, the placement of the circles within the project phase portions of the sideways funnel, and the color status indicators (red/yellow/green) all work together to show a good sense of the entire project portfolio.
Sorry for the large size of this dashboard. I tried reducing it to fit more monitors, but the definition of the circles and the text got too small to make out.

Update:
Here is a set of project management dashboard screenshots courtesy of Google. Using their newly launched extension of Google Apps called Google Sites, you can set up a collaborative site with a dashboard layout. Check it out at this post on Google Sites Project Management Dashboards.
